When we first started figuring out how to make a Shampoo Bar, we started with Unscented. That experiment turned out amazingly well, so then we started figuring out some of the best essential oils to include in future batches.
You won’t find any of the following ingredients in our Shampoo Bar: [Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate or Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), Parabens, Sodium Chloride, Polyethylene Glycols (PEG), Diethanolamine (DEA) and Triethanolamine (TEA), Formaldehyde, Alcohol, Synthetic Fragrances, Synthetic Colors, Dimethicone, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Triclosan, and Retinyl Palmitate]
Our Shampoo Bars contain simple, easy to read and pronounce ingredients, each which is beneficial to your hair. This bar contains Lemon Essential Oil to give your hair and scalp a fresh feel, and Tea Tree Essential Oil to promote a healthy scalp and eliminate scalp itch.
This shampoo bar also contains the following base ingredients:
Olive Oil – Promotes a moisturized and healthy scalp, fights infections caused by bacteria, improves the blood circulation in your scalp, and makes your hair follicles stronger, helping to produce softer, healthier, thicker hair strands.
Castor Oil – Helps lubricate the hair shaft, making the strands more flexible and decreasing breakage. It can also reduce dandruff.
Jojoba Oil – Is rich in vitamin C, B vitamins, vitamin E, copper, and zinc. These vitamins and minerals nourish the hair and can be a dandruff remedy. Jojoba oil also moisturizes the scalp and strengthens hair, possibly preventing hair loss and promoting hair thickness.
Coconut Oil – Can help your hair grow, moisturizes your hair, reduces breakage, protects from protein loss and damage when wet, and protects from environment damage such as wind, sun, and smoke.
Sweet Almond Oil – Is rich in magnesium, calcium, and zinc. Can improve the condition of your scalp, reducing dryness and flakiness, and improving the texture of your hair and the amount of hair you lose.
Apricot Kernel Oil – Reduces excess dryness of scalp, promotes hair growth and strength, and is a natural conditioner.
Avocado Oil – Extremely rich in oleic acid and monounsaturated fats which allow the oil to penetrate the hair shaft and moisturize your hair instead coating your hair. These fats strengthen the hair shaft and prevent breakage.
Shea Butter – Contains vitamins A and E with essential fatty acids which can add moisture and shine to the hair. It is a non-greasy moisturizer that softens dry brittle hair and repairs damaged ends.
